Ruiting Wang

Ruiting WANG is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, working with Prof. Karl H. Johansson. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Systems Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley in 2021, 2025, working with Prof. Scott J. Moura. She got her B.S. degree in Building Energy Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2020.
She has a passion for complex systems, networks, and problem-solving. This drives her research, which focuses on identifying, formulating, and developing methods for large-scale decision-making problems under uncertainty. Her work bridges technology and policy, using control, optimization, and machine learning to design robust societal-scale systems. Her work addresses challenges in urban energy systems, intelligent transportation networks, and electric vehicle markets.
She enjoys a long run, a great climbing session, or a day in the wild. She also loves Shakespeare, theatre, musicals, and museums. She takes pride in her non-transferable skills as well.
